After Saturday's loss to Independence the Panthers looked to get back on track in the Jayhawk as they hosted Dodge City on Tuesday night. With the student body on Thanksgiving Break, the community came out and provided the Panthers with a home court advantage that helped to push the Panthers pass the Conquistadors. Dodge came out and took the early 10 point advantage in the first quarter. The Panthers were able to battle back and take the halftime lead 35-31. The Panthers have struggled this season in the 3
rd quarter normally having difficulty shooting and lacking energy on the defensive end. Tuesday night this was not the case. The Panthers went on an 18-4 run in the 3
rd to push them past Dodge 76-57.
Sophomore
Brooke Neal led the Panthers with 20 points and 4 steals.
Ki'Asha Harris (12 points, 10 rebounds) and
Don'tajah Jones (10 points, 11 rebounds) both had double-doubles.
After the Thanksgiving Holiday, the Panthers will travel to Hutchinson on Saturday. Tip time 5:30 pm.
