Box Score 2 The Panther Women's Basketball team traveled to Southeast Community College in Beatrice, Nebraska over the weekend to participate in the RKP Memorial Classic. On Friday the Panthers took on the Bulldogs from Concordia College. The Panthers started off slow but took control in the first quarter and never looked back. The Panthers outscored the Bulldogs in every quarter and finished with a 23 point victory. Redshirt freshman
Kascity Martin finished game one with 12 points and 6 rebounds and freshman
Ki'Asha Harris added 10 points 6 rebounds. On Saturday the Panthers took on Frank Phillips College. The Panthers and Plainsmen met the same time last season with the Plainsmen finally closing out the game late in the second half. This season with a lot of new faces the Panthers were looking to even the score. For the first two quarters both teams kept the score tight with the Plainsmen taking control at the half 44-35. At the beginning of the 3
rd quarter the Plainsmen came out firing and pushed their lead to 14 points. But the Panther hung around and continued to battle. In the fourth quarter the Panthers found their second win and put up 32 points in the quarter. The Panthers took the lead and held on to win 80-78. 5 Panthers scored in double figures with redshirt freshman
Kascity Martin leading all scorers with 21 points. The Panthers have the week to prepare for the Fort Scott Classic where they will face MCC-Penn Valley on Friday at 2pm and Cottey College on Saturday at Noon.
