CHANUTE, Kan. – After starting the second semester 3-0 with a trio of games away from Chanute, the Neosho Panthers returned home to host rival Allen Community College. Allen jumped all over the Panthers early but Neosho fought back to lead at the half and pulled away in the second half for a 107-79 win.
                      
The Panthers (8-9) started sluggishly to open the game and found themselves trailing Allen 26-17 midway through the first half. Neosho made a 13-3 run capped with back to back 3-pointers from sophomores 
Brett Frantz and 
BJ Jenkins to give them the lead with 4:04 to go.
 
Neosho closed the half on a 14-3 run as they extended their lead to 8, their largest of the half. Jenkins led all scorers with 14 points at the break.
 
The Panthers would begin to pull away in the second half. After shooting just 37% in the first half and 3-13 from beyond the 3-point line, the Panthers shot a blistering 67% including 5-8 from behind the 3-point line as they cruised to a 107-79 win.
 
Jenkins led the Panthers with 20 points while dishing out 5 assists and grabbing 5 rebounds. 
Freddie McSwain tallied his third career double-double, finishing with 15 points and a career high 14 rebounds. 
Joseph Acuil also notched a double-double grabbing 11 rebounds to go with his 18 points and 6 blocked shots.
 
Brett Frantz set a new career high with 7 assists while also scoring 15 points. 
Greg Wimberly (12) and 
Deshawn Terrell (11) rounded out the double digit scorers.
 
The Panthers head back on the road Wednesday (Dec. 15) to take on Johnson County and return home Saturday when they host Labette Community College.Â
