CHANUTE, Kan. – After starting the second semester 3-0 with a trio of games away from Chanute, the Neosho Panthers returned home to host rival Allen Community College. Allen jumped all over the Panthers early but Neosho fought back to lead at the half and pulled away in the second half for a 107-79 win.

The Panthers (8-9) started sluggishly to open the game and found themselves trailing Allen 26-17 midway through the first half. Neosho made a 13-3 run capped with back to back 3-pointers from sophomores Brett Frantz and BJ Jenkins to give them the lead with 4:04 to go.

Neosho closed the half on a 14-3 run as they extended their lead to 8, their largest of the half. Jenkins led all scorers with 14 points at the break.

The Panthers would begin to pull away in the second half. After shooting just 37% in the first half and 3-13 from beyond the 3-point line, the Panthers shot a blistering 67% including 5-8 from behind the 3-point line as they cruised to a 107-79 win.

Freddie McSwain tallied his third career double-double, finishing with 15 points and a career high 14 rebounds.
