CHANUTE, Kan. – After leading by just 17 at halftime, the Neosho Panthers (3-0, 0-0) erupted for 79 second half points as the blew out Tabor College (0-1, 0-0) 119-69.

Tabor College was able to hang around in the first half in large part by out-rebounding the Panthers 21-18. Neosho was able to force the Bluejays into 14 first half turnovers but couldn't put the game away as they led just 47-30 at the half.

In the second half Neosho was relentless on the glass as they out-rebounded Tabor 24-10 including a 12-1 edge on the offensive end. Tabor knocked down 7-11 from behind the three point line and shot 57% from the field but it would not help as Neosho shot 60% in the second half and turned 16 turnovers into 26 points.

Freddie McSwain and
Joseph Acuil led the Panthers with 19 points apiece.
BJ Jenkins added 18 points while
Deshawn Terrell just missed his first career double-double with career highs for both points (14) and assists (9).

The Panthers will travel to Butler Community College (3-0, 0-0) for their first road game of the season. Neosho will be looking for revenge after the Grizzlies swept the season series last year.Â
