"For the first match and making weight for the first time I thought the guys looked fair," said
Wayne Petterson. "The difference came down to conditioning and we won that battle. There were a number of things that probably could have or should have gone better but now we have some things to look at and learn from."

The Panthers forfeited at 125 pounds but went 7-2 over the nine matches in the dual. The match started at 157 pounds and Neosho would get out to a 17-6 lead heading into the 125 pound match. After the Neosho forfeit at 125 Pratt pulled back within five points.
Dallas Vesta won by decision to extend the lead to eight, and
Alex Shea's pin put the match out of reach.

Neosho's next action is November 9 when they travel to Baldwin City, Kansas for the Dan Harris Open hosted by Baker University. They will then return home November 13 to take on rival Labette Community College.
