Box Score Three Panthers scored in double figures and Neosho County overcame a 12 point deficit in the first half to take a 39-37 halftime lead over visiting Coffeyville.
Poor shooting in the second half doomed the Panthers as the Red Ravens held Neosho County to 5-20 (20%) shooting in the second half. Coffeyville extended the lead to as many as eight points in the half but Neosho would not go quietly.
The Panthers fought back to within 1 point at 58-59 with 1:50 to play, but back to back turnovers allowed Coffeyville to push the lead back to 5 points on their way to a 65-60 win.
Alexis Hafenstein led the Panthers with 19 points to go with a pair of rebounds and 3 assists.
Ashley Grant finished with 13 and
Cerissa McMillan added 10 to join Hafenstein in double figures.
Neosho County will be back in action Wednesday (Feb. 13) when they travel to Iola, KS to take on the rival Allen Red Devils at 6:00pm.
