The Lady Panthers dropped a road game to Labette Community College 76-63 on Saturday. Both teams had a hard time finding a flow as they were whistled for a combined 57 fouls and shot 74 free throws.
After falling behind part way through the first half, the Panthers made a 6-0 run to cut the Cardinal lead to 3 at half time.
Labette would start the second half on a 6-0 run to start the half before two quick threes from
Jamaica Campbell would cut the lead to three. Labette would step up the pressure on defense and began to pull away as they built a 15 point lead.
The Panthers would put together another run to cut the lead to six, but they could not overcome the earlier deficit and Labette pulled away for the 13 point lead.
Autumn Zenon led the way for the Lady Panthers scoring 16 points while dishing out 5 assists, while
Katie Gorman and
Jamaica Campbell each scored 12.
The Panthers will be back in action Wednesday when they host Cowley College. Tip of is scheduled for 6:00 PM.
