Lady Panthers come up short at Allen

Neosho County Community College Lady Panthers came up short Saturday night in Iola, Kansas, losing 51-47.  The loss drops the Lady Panthers to 3-21 overall and 2-10 in the KJCCC East.

Jamaica Campbell got Neosho County on the board early nailing two three pointers giving the Lady Panthers a 6-0 cushion.

Allen County would fire back scoring the next seven points taking a 7-6 lead at the 16:00 mark in the first half.

It would be a see-saw battle for the remainder of the game.  The Lady Panthers would take a slim 27-25 lead into the locker room at half.

The two teams would trade the lead at least seven times over the last 14 minutes of the game, with Allen County taking control of the game with a three pointer, taking a 47-41 lead with 2:02 remaining in the game.

Yahjaira Vasquez led the Lady Panthers with 11 points with Alexis Hafenstein and Campbell adding nine.

The Lady Panthers return to action on Wednesday night in Overland Park, Kansas taking on the Cavaliers of Johnson County.  The tipoff is scheduled for 5:30pm
