The Panthers will now focus their attention to the classroom as they prepare for finals next week before heading home for a short Christmas break. Coach Newton was pleased with the win and what it meant for the team. “This sends the girls to the break on a high note. We picked up a hard fought road win and that lets them head home with a good taste in the mouth. We look forward to coming back and getting after it again after some time off.”
The Panthers next action will be January 2 when they travel to No. 2 ranked Hutchinson Community College. The Blue Dragons finished second in last season's NJCAA national tournament finishing the season 35-1. Following the game at Hutchinson the Panthers will open up Jayhawk Conference play when they host Independence Community College January 5 at 5:30 pm.
