Dueling with more than one team in the same day is not an unusual occurrence in collegiate athletics. When this happens it is usually takes place with one team hosting multiple teams for the day. That is not what the Neosho County Panthers did on a busy Friday (Nov. 30) as they picked up a pair of wins in an unorthodox fashion.
 
Before the day was over the team would travel nearly 600 miles with stops in Goodland and Colby, Kansas for duels. After leaving Chanute at 5:00 am, the Panthers got on the road for the 450 mile trip to Goodland to take on Northwest Technical College at 3:00 pm. The Panthers would get the day started on a high note with a 33-18 win over the Mavericks thanks to pins by Timothy Prescott, Le'Roy Barnes, Kyle Graumenz, and Jon Barnat.
 
They would not have much time to celebrate the win as they had to immediately get back on the road to make the 50 mile drive from Goodland to Colby. Their second duel of the day would be against the seventh ranked team in the nation, the Colby Trojans at 7:00pm. The Panthers jumped out to an early lead 15-0 lead and would hold on for a 24-18 win to cap off the day.
 
The Panthers would then take some time to work out in Colby before once again hitting the road to head to Hays, Kansas. The Panthers will compete in the Fort Hays State University Open on Saturday which will be one of the final events of the semester for the Panthers before they head home for Christmas break.
