Box Score

Katie Gorman scored a season high 12 points to lead the Panthers past MCC-Penn Valley Saturday (Nov. 17) afternoon. The Panthers led wire to wire on Saturday despite 33 points and 15 rebounds from Penn Valley's Janairrika Bland. The Panthers improve to 3-3 on the season which is their best start since the 2004-2005 season when they began the year 5-1.

For the second game in a row it was a balanced attack that helped propel the Panthers to a win. Saturday saw 10 different Panthers score while only one scored in double digits. Katie and Ashley Gorman led the Panthers with 12 and 9 points to lead the Panthers.

Defensively the Panthers had no answer for the Scouts Bland who was the only scout with a field goal in the first half. It was Atoya Harris who provided the defense the Panthers needed to slow down Bland. Harris pestered Bland as she had to take 31 shots to get her 33 points while Harris blocked a season high 4 shots in the game.

The Panthers will be back in action next weekend when they travel to Great Bend, Kansas for the Barton Community College Classic. They will take on Brown Mackie College at 1:00pm on Friday before facing host Barton County Saturday at 5:00pm.
